Welding electrode AWS E7018 is a kind of carbon steel electrode with iron powder low-hydrogen potassium type coating.
AC/DC. The deposition efficiency can be improved due to the iron powder in the coating. It has stable arc
fewer ***tters, good slag ***achability and excellent welding performance. The deposited metal has excellent mechanical
properties, all-position welding.
Mild Steel Welding Electrode AWS E7018 Application:
Used for welding carbon steel and low-alloy steel structures, such as 16Mn, etc
The weld metal shows an excellent low temperature toughness and high crack -resistance.
Application:
It is widely used in important projects of ships, boilers, high ressure vessels, bridges, skyscrapers, offshore drilling
platforms,nuclear power plants and so on.
The groove of base metal should be cleared impurities away and the elctrode must be baked at a temperature to 400��c then
be held 1-2hours before welding .
